Today marks the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day. This year there are two crises: One is the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. The other is a slowly building disaster for our climate. The world was not prepared for the novel coronavirus but we still have time to prepare in every part of the world for the climate crisis. The urgency has never been greater, and the stakes have never been higher – we face mass extinction of species, catastrophic pollution of oceans, destruction of communities and displacement of millions.
